CRANBERRY PIE RECIPE
My friend, Joyce, who lives in Kansas City said this cranberry pie is a family favorite. And, it has the added bonus of being quick and easy to bake. This was printed in The KC Star, and who knows who Aunt Ada is?
Aunt Ada’s Cranberry Pie - serves 8
Preheat oven to 350, and line a 9-inch pie plate with 1 pie crust.
In large mixing bowl, combine until the vanilla is evenly distributed:
1 C granulated sugar
2 T flour
2 t vanilla extract
Into the bowl, dump 12-ounces fresh cranberries, and using your hands toss them well in the sugar. Pour the cranberries and all the sugar into the pie shell. Place another pie crust over the fruit, folding the edge of the second crust over the edge of the first and crimp the edges together or use a fork. Cut a few 1/2 inch slits in the top to vent it. Bake in middle of the oven until crust is light golden brown, about 30 to 40 minutes. Let the pie cool, and serve slightly warm or room temperature. Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired, and who wouldn’t desire?

I can hardly wait to try this. I love cranberries not just at holiday time but all year!!
Peg, The info you shared a few weeks ago about certain legislators taking the public option supported by the Kansas Taxpayers, where can I go to find this information. I suppose its public information. I can’t belive that these three legislators want to prohibit Kansans from participating. If you can tell me how to get this info it would be great. thanks
