It is a nice family photo. His mother is white. His step-father looks like an Arab. His sister looks very white.
Obama looks like an cute Arabian boy. I would like to learn more about his history, and family background.
However, I am very concerned that this man might have been placed in office due to his Arab connections, beliefs and understandings
of the arab and muslim culture by some very high profile people who expect him to perhaps solve middle eastern
problems.

I welcome comments, but I’m not sure how you added this comment without registering first. Maybe I overlooked it. I presume you are the one with the Ashbrook connection.
If you read Obama’s website and any of the bios that have been written about him, you’d know that his step-father is from Indonesia and that Barack lived with them for four years in Jakarta until he was in the 6th grade when he went to live in Hawaii with his Dunham grandparents in order to receive a better education.
Obama doesn’t begin to have the Arab connections, as you say, as does George W. Bush’s history with the Saudi’s.

It surprises me how little reference is made to an atlas when people make comments on a persons indentiy. Mr Obama’s father was born in Kenya, which was part of the British Empire thereby making him true African. Barak looks African His father changed his religion to Muslim (likewise did Mohammed Ali) Muslims are forbidden to change from being muslim on pain of death. The picture above is easy to work out when it was taken. When Barak was six his mother married a gentleman from Java in Indonesia not an Arab culture at all. They would probably be offended to be called Arab. She then had the baby sister, which would then make Barak coming up for eight years old.

I think that Barack Obama is not arabic. I don’t even doubt about that.
As I understand from teh comment, arabic means “bad person”, can anybody tell me what do you think of arabs?
If you like, you can send me on my private email (manar@ieee.org)
Thanks to all

Barack Obama is not muslim (although I find nothing in the slightest wrong with that) and he’s not Arab (nothing wrong with that either). He’s the product of a black Kenyan father and a white Kansan mother…both were atheists/agnostics/secular humanists, of that ilk.
Barack is a Christian. He never knew his father except for one brief encounter. Except between ages 6 and 10, when he lived with his mother and step-father, Barack lived with his Dunham grandparents in Hawaii who were strict Methodists.
Internet messages saying otherwise are bunk.

As I am Indonesian, I can say that Barack Obama doesn’t look like an arabic. His stepfather is looks very javanese for me coz I am javanese etnic with chinese decent from my mother. All the name beginning with “SOE…” in Indonesia ex. Soeharto, Soeharti, Soetoro, Soetomo, etc is tipically Javanese name. So your wrong, dude with your saying about Barack Obama looks like arabic. In fact in my opinion he looks like afro-american.

It is a shame, that this is even being discussed. Who freaking cares, what color anyone is? I am a Kansas native, and am hopeful that these kind of discussions are not going on in Kansas. We should be proud that our State has produced one of the most intelligent, honest, direct, and thoughtful human beings ever to run for President. Regardless of race, religion, or gender, isn’t it time we started thinking about other qualifications…you know, like maybe, intelligence, or god forbid, someone who could actually think critically about something and make an objective decision that would benefit all people. I will leave all of you with one question…
Would any of you be able to decide who to vote for if you were blind?
