MY VIEW….

This is my early morning view while sitting before my computer.  It’s a beautiful morning, but bitter cold.  My next door neighbor was very nice to scoop out my driveway so I can get out today if I want to.  I don’t think I want to just yet. Traffic is moving along cautiously.

It’s time to call again about H1N1 flu shots.  They thought there might be vaccine this week for those beyond the first priority group.

David Wiggins has resigned his position with USD #327.  Now to move ahead.

I agree with Ally.  With snow covering everything, my lawn looks as good as the neighbors.

On her show last night Rachel Maddow confronted author Richard Cohen about his claim he can cure homosexuals and about the use of those claims to persecute homosexuals around the world.  The International Healing Foundation, along with leaders in the Christian conservative movement, are deeply involved in “kill the gays” legislation in Uganda.  Sam Brownback is associated with this effort as part of the Family.  If you don’t think this is scary, watch the video here...”debunking a cure for homosexuality” and follow Rachel’s show on MSNBC as information unfolds.

Thanks for tuning in…

  1. That is a peaceful looking scene outside your window. I imagine it is glorious in the Spring too.

We got our H1N1 shots on Monday in Eureka. They were open for everyone, so we went down and got ours. We got our seasonal flu shots in California in September.

I had never taken any real note of Richard Cohen. I looked at a youtube about him, where he’s being interviewed and demonstrates a bit of his technique. He seems sincere, but I think he’s so far off base.

I think trying to “cure” gayness is like trying to “cure” baldness. WHY BOTHER? I like bald men. The handsomest man I’m married to is bald. ;-D What’s to cure on either count?

Oh, I forgot to click on your link to a video. I’ll do that.

Anyway, I always like your take on this issue. Probably because it agrees with mine.

    Janet
