RUNAWAY JURY

This movie has been showing in Salina for a long time, but I found it really good. Of course, you have to work in the fact Gene Hackman was in it, and I do think he is a very good actor...one of my favs. I'd rather he played the good guy part, but he was excellent in this portrayal of a voir dire expert in a suit involving a firearms company. It was exciting without the element of gore.

And...another thing I learned. We went to the Tucson Grill afterwards for dinner. I hadn't been there since they trashed the floor with peanut shells and I never cared to return as the food just wasn't all that good. The place looks the same sans the shells and the food was very good. I had baby back ribs that fell off the bone, broiled veggies on a skewer, and stewed spicy apples. I also had 3 broiled tiger shrimp on the side. It was a great combination and I recommend all of it. Linda had their sirloin Jack steak...which had been seasoned well and marinated in Jack Daniels. She said it was excellent as well. They also serve a generous drink and all at a reasonable price. I wouldn't have picked that place on my own, so it's always nice to draw on another's information about good places to eat.
